Maria emménage dans une nouvelle maison. La maison est dans une rue calme. Elle ne connaît encore personne ici. Le lendemain matin, elle entend frapper à la porte. Elle ouvre la porte. Une femme avec un grand sourire se tient là. 'Bonjour ! Je suis Sara. J'habite à côté,' dit la femme. 'Bienvenue dans le quartier !' 'Merci ! Je suis Maria,' dit Maria. Sara lui donne une assiette de biscuits. 'Je les ai faits pour toi,' dit Sara. 'C'est si gentil ! Merci !' dit Maria. 'Voulez-vous entrer pour un café ?' demande Maria. 'Avec plaisir !' répond Sara. Elles s'assoient dans la cuisine et parlent. Sara parle du quartier à Maria. 'Il y a un joli parc à proximité,' dit Sara. 'Et la boulangerie au coin fait un excellent pain.' 'Ça a l'air merveilleux,' dit Maria. 'Avez-vous des enfants ?' demande Sara. 'Oui, j'ai un fils. Il a six ans,' dit Maria. 'Ma fille a sept ans ! Ils peuvent jouer ensemble,' dit Sara joyeusement. 'Ce serait super pour mon fils,' dit Maria. Sara reste une heure. Elles parlent et rient ensemble. 'Je dois partir maintenant,' dit Sara. 'Mais retrouvons-nous bientôt.' 'Oui, j'aimerais bien,' dit Maria. Maria est heureuse. Elle a une nouvelle amie dans son nouveau quartier.
