Sarah found an old photo album in her grandmother's attic. She blew the dust off the cover and opened it carefully. The first photo showed a little girl with pigtails standing next to a bicycle. 'Grandma, is this you?' Sarah asked excitedly. Her grandmother smiled and sat down next to her. 'Yes, that was me at seven years old.' 'Tell me about this day,' Sarah said, pointing at the photo. 'That was the day my father taught me to ride a bicycle,' Grandma said. She remembered how nervous she felt that morning. 'I fell many times,' Grandma continued. 'But my father always helped me get up.' Sarah turned the page. The next photo showed two girls building a sandcastle. 'Who is the other girl?' Sarah asked. 'That is my best friend from childhood, Maria. We grew up on the same street.' Grandma smiled at the memory. They had spent every summer together at the beach. 'We used to collect seashells and make necklaces,' Grandma said. Sarah continued to look through the album. There were photos of birthday parties and school events. One photo showed Grandma in a beautiful white dress at a dance. 'You looked so beautiful!' Sarah said. 'That was my first school dance. I was sixteen,' Grandma replied. Sarah noticed a tall young man standing next to her grandmother in that photo. 'Is that Grandpa?' she asked with wide eyes. 'Yes, that is your grandfather. That was the night we first met,' Grandma said softly. Sarah loved hearing stories about her grandparents when they were young. The next few pages showed family picnics and holiday gatherings. 'Your great-grandmother made the best apple pie,' Grandma remembered. She could almost smell the fresh pie from the oven. Sarah found a photo of a small dog with fluffy ears. 'That was my dog, Benny. He was my best friend for twelve years.' Grandma's eyes became a little watery when she talked about Benny. Sarah hugged her grandmother. 'You must miss him.' 'I do, but I have happy memories of him. That is what matters,' Grandma said. Near the end of the album, Sarah saw photos of a baby. 'Is that my mother?' she asked, pointing at the tiny baby. 'Yes, that is your mother the day she was born. She was so small!' Sarah giggled. 'She looks like a little doll.' Grandma laughed. 'She cried a lot, but she was a happy baby.' They spent the whole afternoon looking at the photos. Each photo had a story, and Grandma remembered them all. 'Thank you for sharing these memories with me,' Sarah said. 'Memories are treasures that we can keep forever,' Grandma replied. Sarah decided to start her own photo album that day. She wanted to save her own memories for the future. Maybe one day, she would show it to her own grandchildren. Grandma gave her a camera as a special gift. 'Take many photos and make many memories,' Grandma said with a warm smile. Sarah hugged her grandmother tightly. This was a day she would never forget.
