Maria moves to a new house. The house is on a quiet street. She does not know anyone here yet. The next morning, she hears a knock on the door. She opens the door. A woman with a big smile stands there. 'Hello! I am Sara. I live next door,' the woman says. 'Welcome to the neighborhood!' 'Thank you! I am Maria,' Maria says. Sara gives her a plate of cookies. 'I made these for you,' Sara says. 'That is so kind! Thank you!' Maria says. 'Would you like to come in for coffee?' Maria asks. 'I would love to!' Sara answers. They sit in the kitchen and talk. Sara tells Maria about the neighborhood. 'There is a nice park nearby,' Sara says. 'And the bakery on the corner makes great bread.' 'That sounds wonderful,' Maria says. 'Do you have any children?' Sara asks. 'Yes, I have a son. He is six years old,' Maria says. 'My daughter is seven! They can play together,' Sara says happily. 'That would be great for my son,' Maria says. Sara stays for one hour. They talk and laugh together. 'I must go now,' Sara says. 'But let us meet again soon.' 'Yes, I would like that,' Maria says. Maria is happy.
