His mother calls him for lunch. 'Tom, come inside!' she says. Tom runs into the house. He wants to eat his lunch. His mother looks at his hands. 'Stop!' she says. 'Your hands are dirty.' 'You must wash your hands first.' Tom goes to the bathroom. He turns on the water. The water is warm. Tom takes the soap. He rubs the soap on his hands. He makes many bubbles. Tom washes between his fingers. He washes the back of his hands too. He counts to twenty. Then he rinses the soap off. Tom dries his hands with a towel. Now his hands are clean. Tom goes back to the kitchen. He shows his clean hands to his mother. 'Good job, Tom!' his mother says. 'Clean hands keep us healthy.' Tom eats his lunch. The food is delicious. Now Tom always washes his hands. He washes them before eating. He washes them after playing outside.
