Max brengt de bal terug naar Emma. 'Brave jongen!' zegt Emma. Ze spelen lang. Nu is Max moe. Hij gaat op zijn bed liggen. Het bed is zacht en warm. Max sluit zijn ogen. Hij valt snel in slaap. Emma zit naast Max. 'Ik hou van je, Max,' zegt ze.
