1Basic Negation (Ne...Pas)
French negation wraps around the verb with 'ne' before and 'pas' after. Ne becomes n' before vowels.

2Other Negative Expressions
French has many negative expressions that replace 'pas': jamais (never), rien (nothing), personne (nobody).

3Negation with Compound Tenses
In compound tenses (like passé composé), ne...pas surrounds the auxiliary verb (avoir/être), not the past participle.

4Negation with Infinitives
With infinitives, both negative words come before the infinitive: ne pas, ne jamais, etc.
