Maria's phone rang on Saturday morning. She looked at the screen and saw her friend's name. It was Lisa calling. 'Hello, Lisa!' Maria answered happily. 'Hi, Maria! How are you doing?' Lisa asked. 'I am doing great, thanks! And you?' 'I am good too. Listen, I was thinking about something.' 'What is it?' Maria asked curiously. 'Do you want to meet for coffee this afternoon?' 'That sounds wonderful!' Maria said excitedly. 'I have not seen you in two weeks!' 'I know, time flies so fast!' Lisa agreed. 'Where should we meet?' Maria asked. 'What about the new café near the park?' 'Oh, I heard about that place! They have great pastries.' 'Yes, my sister went there last week.' 'She loved the chocolate cake.' 'Perfect! What time works for you?' Lisa asked. 'I am free after three o'clock.' 'How about half past three then?' 'That is perfect for me!' Maria replied. 'Great! I will text you the exact address.' 'Thank you! By the way, how was your week?' 'It was very busy. I had a lot of work.' 'We had an important project at the office.' 'Oh, that sounds stressful!' Maria said. 'It was, but we finished it yesterday.' 'Now I can finally relax this weekend.' 'That is wonderful news! You deserve a break.' 'And what about you? What did you do this week?' 'I started a new hobby!' Maria said enthusiastically. 'Really? What is it?' Lisa asked. 'I am learning to paint!' 'That sounds amazing! I always wanted to try that.' 'You should! It is very relaxing.' 'I take a class every Wednesday evening.' 'Maybe I could join you sometime?' Lisa suggested. 'Of course! That would be so much fun!' 'I will send you the information about the class.' 'Thank you! Oh, I need to ask you something else.' 'Sure, what is it?' 'Do you remember my brother Tom?' 'Yes, of course! He moved to the city last year.' 'Well, he is visiting me next month.' 'I want to plan a dinner party for him.' 'Would you like to come?' 'I would love to! When is it?' 'I am thinking about Saturday the fifteenth.' 'Let me check my calendar quickly.' Lisa looked at her phone for a moment. 'Yes, that day is free for me!' she said happily. 'Perfect! I will send you all the details later.' 'I am so excited! It has been years since I saw Tom.' 'He is looking forward to seeing everyone too.' 'Oh, I almost forgot! I need to go now.' 'I have a doctor's appointment in one hour.' 'No problem! I will see you at the café later.' 'Yes! Half past three at the new café.' 'I cannot wait! See you soon, Lisa!' 'See you soon, Maria! Bye!' Maria hung up and smiled. She loved talking to her best friend. Now she had plans for the afternoon and for next month. It was going to be a wonderful weekend.
