Today is Mia's birthday. She is six years old. Her parents have a special gift for her. 'Close your eyes,' says her mother. Mia closes her eyes. 'Now open them!' says her father. Mia opens her eyes and sees a small fish tank. Inside the tank, there is a beautiful goldfish. 'A fish!' shouts Mia happily. The goldfish is orange and very pretty. It swims around and around in the water. 'What will you name it?' asks her mother. Mia thinks for a moment. 'I will call him Sunny,' she says. Every day, Mia feeds Sunny. She gives him a little bit of fish food. Sunny swims up to eat the food. Mia likes to watch him swim. She talks to Sunny every morning. 'Good morning, Sunny!' she says. Sunny moves his fins when he hears her voice. Mia thinks Sunny knows her. She is very happy to have a pet. 'Sunny is my best friend,' Mia tells her parents. Her parents smile because Mia is happy.
