Tom wakes up on Monday morning. He does not feel well. His head hurts. His throat is sore. Tom takes his temperature. He has a fever. 'I cannot go to work today,' Tom thinks. He needs to call his boss. Tom picks up his phone. He calls the office. 'Good morning, this is Tom,' he says. 'I am sick and cannot come to work today.' His boss says, 'I am sorry to hear that.' 'What is wrong?' 'I have a fever and a sore throat,' Tom explains. 'Take care of yourself,' says his boss. 'Rest and drink a lot of water.' Tom thanks his boss and hangs up. He goes back to bed. Tom sleeps for many hours. He drinks tea and eats soup. The next day, Tom feels a little better. But he stays home one more day. On Wednesday, Tom feels much better. He goes back to work.
