Vandaag is een speciale dag. Het is mijn verjaardag! Ik word vandaag acht jaar. Mijn moeder maakt een grote taart. De taart is chocolade. Dat is mijn favoriet! Mijn vader hangt ballonnen op in de woonkamer. De ballonnen zijn rood, blauw en geel. Om drie uur komen mijn vrienden. Ze brengen cadeaus voor mij mee. 'Gefeliciteerd!' zeggen ze. Ik ben erg blij om ze te zien. We spelen spelletjes in de tuin. We rennen en lachen veel. Dan is het tijd voor taart. Mijn moeder brengt de taart. Er staan acht kaarsjes op. Iedereen zingt 'Happy Birthday' voor mij. Ik sluit mijn ogen en doe een wens. Dan blaas ik de kaarsjes uit. Iedereen klapt in de handen. De taart is heerlijk. Na de taart open ik mijn cadeaus. Ik krijg een nieuw boek en een speelgoedauto. Dit is de beste verjaardag ooit!
