1Possessive Pronouns Overview
Possessive pronouns replace a noun + possessive adjective. They agree in gender and number with the thing possessed (not the owner). They're used with articles: el mío, la tuya, los suyos, las nuestras.

2Agreement Rules
The pronoun agrees with the possessed object, not the possessor. If the object is feminine, use feminine forms; if plural, use plural forms. The article also agrees with the object.

3Suyo/Suya Clarification
Suyo/suya can mean his, hers, yours (formal), or theirs - it's ambiguous. For clarity, use de + pronoun instead: de él (his), de ella (hers), de usted (yours), de ellos (theirs).

4Without Articles (After Ser)
After the verb ser, possessive pronouns often appear without articles. This is common when identifying ownership. The pronoun still agrees with the possessed object in gender and number.
