Once upon a time, there was an old owl. The owl lived in a big oak tree. The tree was in the middle of a forest. The owl was very wise. All the animals knew about the wise owl. They came to ask the owl for help. One day, a young rabbit came to the tree. 'Hello, wise owl,' said the rabbit. 'I have a problem.' The owl looked at the rabbit. 'Tell me about your problem,' said the owl. 'I talk too much,' said the rabbit. 'My friends are tired of me.' The owl did not say anything. The owl just listened. The rabbit talked and talked. After a long time, the rabbit stopped. 'Why don't you say anything?' asked the rabbit. 'I am listening,' said the owl. 'A wise person listens more than they talk.' The rabbit thought about this. 'I understand now,' said the rabbit. 'I need to listen to my friends.' The owl smiled. 'Yes, that is right,' said the owl. 'When you listen, you learn.' The rabbit was happy. He thanked the owl and went home. From that day, the rabbit listened more. His friends were happy too. And the wise owl stayed in the old oak tree. He helped many more animals. The owl always listened first. And that is why the owl is called wise.
