1Yes/No Questions with -ko/-kö
Finnish forms yes/no questions by adding the particle -ko (after back vowels: a, o, u) or -kö (after front vowels: ä, ö, y) to the verb. The verb with the particle comes first in the sentence. This is very different from English word order.

2Question Words: Who, What, Where
Finnish question words are placed at the beginning of the sentence. Key words: kuka (who), mikä (what), missä (where - location), minne (where to), mistä (where from). These question words decline (change form) based on grammatical case.

3Question Words: When, Why, How
More question words: milloin (when), miksi (why), miten/kuinka (how). 'Milloin' is used for time questions. 'Miksi' asks for reasons. 'Miten' and 'kuinka' both mean 'how' and are often interchangeable.

4Common Question Patterns
