Sarah works at a software company in the city. She is a project manager and leads a small team. On Monday morning, Sarah arrives at the office early. She has an important meeting with her boss at nine o'clock. 'Good morning, Sarah,' says her boss, Mr. Chen. 'We need to finish the project by Friday.' Sarah looks at her calendar and nods. 'That is only four days away,' she thinks. After the meeting, Sarah talks to her team. There are three people on her team: Tom, Lisa, and David. 'We have a lot of work to do this week,' Sarah tells them. Tom is working on the design part of the project. Lisa writes the code, and David tests everything. They start working immediately. On Tuesday, there is a problem with the code. Lisa cannot find the error. 'I have been looking for hours,' she says. Sarah decides to help her. They look at the code together on Lisa's computer. After an hour, Sarah finds the problem. 'Look here,' she points at the screen. 'This line is wrong.' Lisa fixes the error, and the code works again. On Wednesday, Tom finishes the design. He shows it to Sarah. 'This looks great!' she says with a smile. The colors are perfect, and the buttons are easy to find. David begins testing the software in the afternoon. He finds some small bugs and makes a list. Lisa works late to fix them all. On Thursday, the team has a meeting. Sarah checks the project list. 'The design is done, the code is working, and most tests are finished.' 'We still need to write the documentation,' says David. Sarah gives this task to Tom. He is a good writer and can explain things clearly. In the evening, Sarah sends an email to her boss. 'Everything is on schedule,' she writes. Mr. Chen replies quickly. 'Good work, team!' Friday morning arrives. The whole team comes to work early. Tom finishes the documentation at ten o'clock. David runs the final tests. 'Everything works perfectly!' he announces. Sarah puts all the files together. She sends the project to the client at noon. The deadline was at five o'clock, so they finished early. The client calls Sarah in the afternoon. 'We are very happy with the project,' they say. Sarah thanks her team for their hard work. 'We could not have done it without everyone's help.' Mr. Chen invites the team for lunch to celebrate. They go to a nice restaurant near the office. Everyone is tired but happy. 'Working as a team makes everything easier,' says Lisa. Sarah agrees and raises her glass. 'To our great team!' she says. They all smile and enjoy their lunch together. It was a successful week.
