Anna worked at a small marketing company in the city center. She had been working there for two years. Anna loved her job and got along well with her colleagues. One Friday morning, the boss called a meeting. 'Everyone, I have great news!' he said with a big smile. 'We have just signed a big contract with a new client.' Everyone in the office started to clap and cheer. 'To celebrate, we will have an office party next Friday!' the boss announced. Anna was very excited about the party. She loved spending time with her colleagues outside of work. During the week, Anna and her colleagues planned the party together. They decided to have food, music, and games. Anna volunteered to bring a cake that she would bake herself. Her colleague Mark said he would bring his speakers for the music. Lisa, another colleague, offered to organize some fun games. Finally, Friday arrived and everyone was in a good mood. The workday passed quickly because everyone was excited. At five o'clock, the employees started to set up the party. They moved the desks and chairs to make space for dancing. Mark connected his speakers and started playing some music. Anna arrived with her homemade chocolate cake. Everyone complimented her on how delicious it looked. The boss ordered pizza and drinks for everyone. Soon, the office was full of delicious smells. The party started and everyone began to eat and talk. Anna talked to Tom, a new employee who had started last month. Tom was a bit shy, but Anna made him feel welcome. 'So, how do you like working here?' Anna asked him. 'I really like it,' Tom replied. 'Everyone is so friendly.' After eating, Lisa announced that it was time for the games. The first game was a quiz about the company. Anna's team won the quiz and everyone laughed and cheered. The second game was a dance competition. Nobody expected it, but the boss was an amazing dancer! Everyone clapped as he showed off his dance moves. After the games, people started dancing together. Anna danced with her colleagues and had a wonderful time. Even Tom, the shy new employee, started dancing. Anna was happy to see him enjoying himself. Around nine o'clock, the boss gave a short speech. 'I want to thank all of you for your hard work,' he said. 'This contract is possible because of your dedication.' Everyone felt proud and happy after his words. Then it was time to eat Anna's chocolate cake. The boss cut the first piece and gave it to Anna. 'This is delicious!' everyone said as they tasted the cake. Anna smiled proudly because her cake was a big success. The party continued until late in the evening. At the end, everyone helped to clean up the office. They put the desks and chairs back in their places. Anna said goodbye to her colleagues and walked home. She felt tired but very happy. The office party had been a wonderful experience. Anna thought about all the fun moments from the evening. She laughed to herself when she remembered the boss dancing. The next Monday, everyone at work was still talking about the party. 'We should do this more often!' Mark said. Everyone agreed, including the boss. 'Maybe we can have a summer barbecue next,' the boss suggested. Anna smiled, already looking forward to the next celebration with her wonderful colleagues.
