Some pumpkins have scary faces. They walk to the first house. Emma rings the doorbell. An old woman opens the door. 'Trick or treat!' say Emma and Tom. 'What wonderful costumes!' says the woman. She gives them chocolate. 'Thank you!' say the children. They visit many houses. Their bags are full of candy. They see other children in costumes. There is a ghost, a cat, and a princess. It is getting late. They go back home. Their mother is waiting for them. 'Did you have fun?' she asks. 'Yes! It was the best night!' says Emma. They count their candy on the table.
