Today is Saturday. Emma looks at her dog Max. Max is a big brown dog. He is very dirty. 'You need a bath,' Emma says. Max hears the word 'bath.' He runs away fast. Max hides under the bed. Emma laughs. 'Come here, Max,' she calls. Max does not move. Emma gets a dog treat. Max loves treats. He comes out slowly. Emma picks up Max. She carries him to the bathroom. The bathtub is full of warm water. Emma puts Max in the water. Max is not happy. He tries to jump out. Water splashes everywhere. Emma gets wet too. 'Stay still, Max!' Emma says. She puts shampoo on his fur. The shampoo smells like apples. Emma rubs his back and legs. Max has bubbles all over him. He looks funny. Emma rinses the soap off. The water turns brown and dirty. 'You were very dirty!' Emma says. Emma lifts Max out of the tub. Max shakes his body. Water flies everywhere! Emma is all wet now. She dries Max with a big towel. Max likes the soft towel. His fur is clean and fluffy. He smells good now. 'Good boy, Max!' Emma says. She gives him a big treat. Max eats the treat happily. He wags his tail. Maybe bath day is not so bad. Emma hugs her clean dog. 'See you next Saturday, Max,' she laughs.
